{"id":1043,"date":"2011-11-21T21:13:13","date_gmt":"2011-11-22T02:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stlydias.org\/blog\/?p=1043"},"modified":"2011-11-21T21:13:13","modified_gmt":"2011-11-22T02:13:13","slug":"stuffing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stlydiasliturgy.org\/blog\/2011\/11\/stuffing\/","title":{"rendered":"Stuffing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had this stuffing with the Potato Mushroom Casserole last Sunday, and Lord was it good. \u00a0This recipe feeds a large group-we were about 15 and had some left over.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>2 16 oz bags of croutons<br \/>\nApproximately 8 cups vegetable stock<br \/>\n2 fennel bulbs<br \/>\n3 small yellow onions<br \/>\nFresh sage<br \/>\n1-2 lbs mushrooms<br \/>\n8 oz wild rice<br \/>\n2-3 cups pecans<br \/>\n2 cups cranberries<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<br \/>\nChop the fennel, onion and mushrooms. \u00a0Sautee fennel and onion in olive oil till they sweat, then add the mushrooms. \u00a0In a separate saucepan, heat the stock to simmer. \u00a0Place croutons in a large stock pot and add the hot stock. \u00a0Melt the butter and add it to the croutons, then add the cooked fennel, onion and mushrooms. \u00a0Chop pecans and add them, along with the cranberries, to the mix. \u00a0Delicious!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<em>Prepared with our help by Jen on November 20, 2011<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had this stuffing with the Potato Mushroom Casserole last Sunday, and Lord was it good. \u00a0This recipe feeds a large group-we were about 15 and had some left over.
