Is my coat torn?<br \/>\nAm I no longer young, and still half-perfect? Let me<br \/>\nkeep my mind on what matters,<br \/>\nwhich is my work,<br \/>\nwhich is mostly standing still and learning to be<br \/>\nastonished.<br \/>\nThe phoebe, the delphinium.<br \/>\nThe sheep in the pasture, and the pasture.<br \/>\nWhich is mostly rejoicing, since all the ingredients are here,<br \/>\nwhich is gratitude, to be given a mind and a heart<br \/>\nand these body-clothes,<br \/>\na mouth with which to give shouts of joy<br \/>\nto the moth and the wren, to the sleepy dug-up clam,<br \/>\ntelling them all, over and over, how it is<br \/>\nthat we live forever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Mary Oliver My work is loving the world.
