Let evening come.<\/p>\n<p>Let dew collect on the hoe abandoned<br \/>\nin long grass. Let the stars appear<br \/>\nand the moon disclose her silver horn.<\/p>\n<p>Let the fox go back to its sandy den.<br \/>\nLet the wind die down. Let the shed<br \/>\ngo black inside. Let evening come.<\/p>\n<p>To the bottle in the ditch, to the scoop<br \/>\nin the oats, to air in the lung<br \/>\nlet evening come.<\/p>\n<p>Let it come, as it will, and don&#8217;t<br \/>\nbe afraid.
