Born<\/div>\n<div>a loved one,<\/div>\n<div>borne a loved one.<\/div>\n<div>3<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>My father fought in this war, thus I can speak of it.<\/div>\n<div>My mother fought in this, thus I can speak.<\/div>\n<div>My friends, my lovers have fought, have worn<\/div>\n<div>(like the tree) their several directions at once. And I,<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>in so far as I<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 can say \u201cI\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>have fought to be related to these\u2009\u2014<\/div>\n<div>we strive and strain<\/div>\n<div>but also try to ripen the entity<\/div>\n<div>of the Other.<\/div>\n<div>4<\/div>\n<div>We kiss on lips, where the tenses attach.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>We enter the conundrum<\/div>\n<div>of another\u2019s becoming.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>We look for someone who can raise us<\/div>\n<div>up again to feet, or near to standing.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>We tend in our terrors to forget (we<\/div>\n<div>do not store them) felicities.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>I try each day to stay near beings,<\/div>\n<div>mornings when I am most<\/div>\n<div>mild.
