The world fidgets<br \/>\nin uneasy relationship to our statements<br \/>\nabout it nevertheless producing silver<\/p>\n<p>buds from ragged limbs like the luster<br \/>\nin late Frank Sinatra songs. Finally,<br \/>\nwhen I got off the sixth floor, I felt<br \/>\nlike I was walking out into the sky<\/p>\n<p>and aren\u2019t we all pedestrians of air?<br \/>\nDoesn\u2019t it feel all wrong to turn our backs<br \/>\non the ocean? On an ant? On those Chagall<br \/>\nwindows you have to go through a gauntlet<\/p>\n<p>of ancient armor to get to? What was her name,<br \/>\nthat night nurse so deft her blood draws<br \/>\ndidn\u2019t wake me up? Don\u2019t get me wrong, I want<br \/>\nto wake up.
