{"id":3093,"date":"2015-11-06T12:35:24","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T17:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stlydias.org\/blog\/?p=3093"},"modified":"2015-11-06T12:35:24","modified_gmt":"2015-11-06T17:35:24","slug":"songs-we-sing-advent-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stlydiasliturgy.org\/blog\/2015\/11\/songs-we-sing-advent-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Songs We Sing: Advent, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This is a place for our Song Leaders, as well as congregants, to learn the songs we sing at St. Lydia\u2019s. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s all the music you&#8217;ll need for the Advent Season at St. Lydia&#8217;s this year. \u00a0Advent is usually a four week season that leads into Christmas, but we&#8217;re reclaiming an earlier tradition of a seven week Advent. \u00a0This will give us a little more time to settle into the themes of beginning and ending, expectation, hope and waiting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gathering Song<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stlydiasliturgy.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Come-O-Lord-and-Set-Us-Free.m4a\" target=\"_blank\">Come O Lord And Set Us Free<\/a>, from the Iona Community in Scotland<\/p>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stlydiasliturgy.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Come-Now-O-Prince-of-Peace1.m4a\">Come Now, O Prince of Peace<\/a>, with text and music by Geonyong Lee. \u00a0Sheet music is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0Bw_7AQJczw5GcjllMjlmUU9HSmM\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>!
